Brooklyn Bonsai Museum Celebrates 100 Years with Record-Breaking Miniature Tree Exhibition

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Bonsai Museum is marking its centennial with the largest exhibition of these living sculptures ever assembled in North America. The World in Miniature showcase features:

🌳 200 specimens from 15 countries
🎋 A 400-year-old juniper that survived Hiroshima
🖌️ “Living Van Gogh” â€“ bonsai styled after Starry Night

“This art form teaches patience and perspective,” says curator Hiroshi Nakamura. The exhibit runs through November, with workshops on:
• Saikei (bonsai landscapes)
• Moss terrarium creation
• Ancient pruning techniques
