Dick Van Dyke Stars in Coldplay Music Video on His 99th Birthday

Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke celebrated his upcoming 99th birthday in style, dancing his way through Coldplay’s latest music video for their single “All My Love” from the album Moon Music.

A Joyful Collaboration

The video, directed by Spike Jonze, was filmed at Van Dyke’s Malibu home. It features the ever-youthful star dancing as Chris Martin plays piano and sings barefoot—a heartfelt celebration of love, life, and aging gracefully.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month, Martin revealed his admiration for Van Dyke, calling Mary Poppins his favorite film. The idea of working with Van Dyke came during a brainstorming session, with Martin joking,
“We’re looking for an old guy. Who’s the oldest guy?”

Van Dyke, ever the comedian, recalled his reaction to hearing Martin wanted to collaborate:
“I asked, ‘Who’s that?’”

Dick Van Dyke: A Living Legend

Van Dyke continues to defy age with his enthusiasm and talent. Earlier this year, he became the oldest Daytime Emmy winner in history for his guest role on Days of Our Lives, joking in his speech:
“If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself!”

Coldplay’s New Album and Sustainability Efforts

Released in October, Moon Music showcases Coldplay’s continued evolution, pairing heartfelt ballads with themes of sustainability. The band even partnered with The Ocean Cleanup to create album packaging from recycled river plastics.

Watch the video to witness the timeless charm of Van Dyke alongside Martin’s melodic tribute. It’s a celebration of creativity, joy, and the enduring magic of storytelling—something Van Dyke has embodied for nearly a century.
