FBI Recovers $20M in Stolen Art After 40-Year Cold Case Breakthrough

A routine customs inspection in El Paso has solved one of art history’s longest mysteries – the 1983 disappearance of three modernist masterpieces from the Santa Fe Art Museum. Using AI-assisted provenance tracking, investigators:

🖼️ Authenticated a previously unknown Rivera sketchbook
🔍 Traced chemical signatures in paint layers
🎨 Confirmed all works via blockchain-sealed archives

The recovered pieces include:
• Georgia O’Keeffe’s “Black Mesa” (1928)
• Diego Rivera’s “Dancer Study” (1931)
• An undiscovered Frida Kahlo self-portrait

Museum director Sofia Mendez calls it “a second creation for these cultural treasures.” The works will tour nationally before returning home.
