Determined to do more, she transformed her home into an impromptu animal hospital. Recognizing the need for a larger facility, Lizzi, her husband, and a team of dedicated volunteers built a fully functioning seal hospital in Cornwall. This new haven boasts ten pens, a testament to their commitment to rehabilitating marine life.

Beyond her role as a seal rescuer, Lizzi is an active member of Surfer’s Against Sewage and Ghostnetbuster. Her dedicated environmental work, a testament to her love for the ocean, earned her the esteemed Animal Action Award from the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).
